Quick answer
What is air freight car shipping?
Air freight is the fastest international transport method for an eligible vehicle and is mainly used for urgent, event-critical or high-value movements. Aircraft availability, dimensions and destination determine feasibility and price.
The Ship Cars is the vehicle shipping agent division of Ascope Shipping Services LTD, registered in England.
When time matters more than cost, air freight is the only option that delivers a vehicle in days rather than weeks. Cars are loaded into a specialist air cargo crate or pallet and flown on dedicated freighter aircraft, cutting transit time to a fraction of sea freight.
The Ship Cars arranges air freight vehicle shipping from Heathrow, East Midlands and Stansted cargo terminals for time-critical relocations, race and rally cars needing to reach an event, and high-value vehicles where owners want the shortest possible transit exposure.
Why Choose Our Air Freight Car Shipping
Fastest Transit Available
Most destinations worldwide can be reached in 2–5 days door-to-door, versus 2–6 weeks by sea.
Ideal for Time-Critical Moves
Perfect for race cars needing to reach a circuit, urgent relocations, or last-minute purchase completions.
Reduced Transit Exposure
Less time in transit means less time exposed to handling risk — a key reason high-value cars sometimes travel by air.
Cargo Terminal Network
We work with UK cargo terminals equipped for vehicle loading, including height and weight-restricted specialist freighters.
Dedicated Documentation Handling
Air waybills, export declarations and customs paperwork are prepared in advance to avoid delays at the cargo terminal.
Available for Non-Standard Sizes
With the right aircraft and crate configuration, even race cars and larger 4x4s can be accommodated.
