Air Freight Car Shipping from the UK

Air freight is the fastest way to move a vehicle internationally. From Heathrow, Stansted and East Midlands we charter capacity on Boeing 747-400F, 777F and Antonov AN-124 aircraft for time-critical movements such as motorsport rounds, Pebble Beach Concours, RM Sotheby's auctions and last-minute relocations.

Frequently asked questions

When does air freight make commercial sense?

When the vehicle's value, an event deadline or downtime cost exceeds the freight premium. Motorsport entries, auction lots, and £500k-plus collectors' cars are the usual candidates.

What is chargeable weight?

Airlines charge the greater of actual weight (kg) and dimensional weight (length × width × height ÷ 6,000). Most cars are dimensional, so a low, light hypercar can cost as much as a heavier SUV.

How is the car secured in the aircraft?

Loaded onto a main-deck pallet with chassis-grade airline straps, or directly to ULD nets in the lower hold. Loading is supervised by the airline's vehicle-handling team.

Can I ship a non-runner by air?

Yes, by flat-rack or pallet with winch loading. We will quote a small additional handling fee for non-runners.
