Boats, RIBs and jet skis can travel on a roadworthy trailer by RORO, on a flat-rack or inside a container. Length, beam, height, weight and trailer condition determine the method.

Boats on road trailers can often be shipped by RoRo, towed on and off the vessel. Larger or taller boats go on flat-rack containers, and small craft such as jet skis or RIBs can fit inside a standard container, sometimes alongside a car.
